The benefits of mindfulness and meditation are well-documented everywhere, but finding authentic instructions is so important if you and your staff are going to reap those benefits. At Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Centre we teach scientific methods for self-improvement, coming from ancient Buddhist wisdom.

“If we respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development.” Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, ‘How to Transform Your Life’

Short Visit

We offer short visits to give organisations a taste of how meditation can help relieve work-related stress, improve resilience and well-being and help improve relationships within the work-place. These visits comprise of a short talk, guided meditation and Q&A session. Refreshments can be provided on request at extra cost.

  • As we are a registered charity we request a donation of £25 for a short visit
  • Short visits typically last 1 hour, but can be adjusted to meet your needs
  • We can accommodate up to 40 visitors

We also offer a day visit. In this day, your staff will learn practical methods for dealing with difficulties at work by keeping a calm and balanced mind. They will learn meditation techniques which can be used again & again, as well as Buddhist wisdom which makes the challenges of day to day life more manageable. Away days can be tailored to your needs, however, a typical schedule would include:

  • A meditation experience – a guided meditation with an experienced Buddhist teacher.
  • A talk on how to keep a calm and balanced mind while under pressure – talk with the resident teacher Gen Kelsang Oden
  • Afternoon tea in the World Peace Cafe – As well as refreshments throughout the day as required, we will provide a delicious vegetarian afternoon tea in our World Peace Cafe.
  • A guided walk – In the afternoon you can take a guided walk around the Great Orme, a Country Park and area of rare natural beauty.

For day visits we charge according to the amount of people who are attending. The price includes refreshments within the centre, meditation experience and talk, and guided walk. The requested donation is £20 per person.

We can visit you!

Alternatively, why not have one of our experienced meditation teachers come to your workplace and deliver a talk or meditation session in the workplace.

We can offer:

  • A one off introduction to meditation and Buddhist wisdom for staff or managers
  • Four week courses to help people to become familiar with beneficial meditation techniques
  • Lunchtime or after work meditation classes
