These meditation classes are the perfect way to learn how to calm and uplift your mind.

They will be delivered as a live stream over the internet 7-8.15pm on Wednesday evenings until the Covid-19 outbreak has subsided.

Course description

On this series of meditation classes, we will explore the different parts of our mind and how they affect our mental state.

By learning to understand how our mind works and how it functions to give rise to worry, stress and overthinking, we can learn to reduce these habits and replace them with more peaceful and constructive states of mind.

March 18 – How to protect your mind from worry, anxiety and depression – The Power of intention

March 25 – Take the power out of worry – The Power of attention

April 1 – Dissolving difficulties

How to attend the course online:

1) This class is only available to people living in North Wales and Mid Wales.  If you do not live in this area, please contact your local centre to sign up for a class near you.

2) Book your place as you would for any normal class or course. You can book for 1 class or the entire series.

3) In order to attend the course you will need to download the ‘Zoom’ app on your phone, tablet or computer. You can do this now in advance by following this link: or by going to the App Store on your phone or tablet.

4) Once you have registered for the course, you will be sent details of how to join the teaching on Wednesday at 7pm. The waiting room will be open from 6.30pm to give you plenty of time to get set up for the session.

Gen Kelsang Leksang is an ordained Buddhist nun who has been studying and teaching under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 16 years. She has been appointed by Venerable Geshe-la as the Resident Teacher of Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Gen Leksang teaches from her experience of practicing Buddha’s teachings in every day life which makes them very accessible and relevant to everyone. She is appreciated for her kind and joyful approach and her sincere example.
